It includes scripted dialog between the host, Rudy Vallee and the guest, George Gershwin. The musical selections are Fascinatin Rhythm, I Got Rhythm and the Second Prelude for Piano. I transferred this circa 1972 to 15 ips tape directly from four sides of two uncoated aluminum disks recorded @ 78.26 rpm. I digitized and reprocessed it circa 5 - 10 years ago... These models of wire recorders were manufactured in Chicago around 1947 or 1948. The show was broadcast on WJFL (WJSL?) and "invites you to hear the talents of young professional vocal artists, here in Chicago". Rosemarie Coulder(sp?) was the featured artist with Phyllis Miller accompanying on piano... It's one of the best examples of radio excellence - the production is exemplary and I find every episode to be compelling. It's one of my favorites; I don't understand why it isn't more well known!
